A new restaurant called Mürver opened on the top floor of Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus. Boasting a gorgeous historical peninsula view, Mürver is a creatively designed comfy and modern restaurant where a constant wood fire plays host to plenty of laughs accompanying wine glass toasts by people who also get the opportunity to have shared platters.
Opened its doors in late June, Mürver stands out for its kitchen where different fire cooking methods including live open fire and smoking are used. Its menu includes seasonal ingredients purchased from local Anatolian producers, more specifically, wood-oven cooked or wood-grilled dishes, slowly cooked BBQ dishes, smoked dishes, sustainable seafood, handmade dried and rested meat, Turkish spicy sujuks, and sausages, as well as many other dishes and mezes – which will also win the hearts of vegetarians.
Mürver is a great place appealing to foodies from all ages with its different lunch and dinner options. But it has more to offer; it is also perfect for business meals, group meals, and celebrations. Plus, Mürver also boasts an exclusive meeting room. Furthermore, its impressive open kitchen counter fascinates with its Nero Picasso marbles and offers an unparalleled experience where guests can feel the warmth of the live fire in front of the chef using exclusive platters.
Housing dynamic, comfy, and spacious internal and external bars, the restaurant will also soon start hosting a live DJ performance. Mürver is mainly focused on Turkish wines when it comes to alcoholic beverages but still it has a wide range of domestic and imported drinks including wines, rakı, and cocktails. Its drink menu together with its snacks offer a fun bar experience to those looking to relax after work, during lunch breaks, as well as before or after meals.
Designed to be a creative, comfy, and modern place, Mürver’s interior enjoys natural materials such as wood, marble, and black sheet iron and its open air terrace overlooking the Topkapı Palace and the sea has a well-designed pergola system.
The restaurant run by AccorHotels was made possible by an investment by Akfen GYO. Moreover, Istanbul Food & Beverage Group co-founded by Mehmet Gürs has been offering consultancy services to the venue.
